what happens when you place an order?
When you place your order with Gem Sanctum, we begin crafting your precious new shiny piece immediately, unless your item is a 'ready to ship' item, marked with the bright orange tag.

Ready to ship items are shipped on the next business day following payment.

All other products are Made to order, and these items will ship within 2-3 weeks from order confirmation/payment.

You will receive email updates on your order at every step of the way (when goldsmithing begins, when diamond/gem setting begins, when final QA takes place etc.) unless you tell us not to - if its a secret order, for example.

Finally an email containing your tracking number once packed and waiting for courier pick-up. Shipping timeframes and services vary from country to country, please see our shipping page for details.
Sometimes, depending on our goldsmithing workloads, we can accommodate rush orders, we urge you to contact us as soon as possible to see if we can help you. We have been known to make dramatic airport runs to deliver wedding rings on time, or dive into bushes after covert engagement ring delivery, we take pride in going the extra mile for our clients.
free ring engraving (inside band)
All our made to order rings come with complimentary ring engraving on the inside of the band, up to 30 characters, should you desire it. These requests must be submitted via the engraving section on the product page when you purchase you ring.If you request engraving or make changes to your already submitted custom engraving request, we may not be able to honor your request without incurring additional charges, as manufacturing of your jewelry begins immediately when you place your order.For this reason please make sure the text you have chosen is correct, before making your purchase.
Valuation and Gem Certificate
All Gem Sanctum pieces come with a complimentary retail valuation, which can be provided to your insurer for insurance purposes. This document provides all relevant details about your made to order piece, including the price paid.
Pieces made with at least one individual gemstone valued at over $700USD come with a comprehensive in-house gemstone certificate stating gemological information about the stone(s) (cut, type, origin, treatment etc.).
If you require an external, independent certification from a lab such as GIA, we are happy to arrange this for you at a cost.
worry free sizing
We know ordering a ring online can be tricky, especially when it comes to ordering the right size!
That's why our standard order range of rings come with one complimentary resizing, valid for 30 days from date of delivery, just incase it doesn't quite fit right when you get it.
Just get in touch with us if the ring doesn't fit, within the first 30 days of receiving your ring, and we will organize for it to be resized, on us!*
*Does not apply to our premium Secret Gem Sanctum pieces as these items are unique, collector's pieces that cannot be resized, items like this will clearly have this information written on the product details.*Also does not apply to full/360 degree eternity rings (rings that contain gemstones or designs all the way around the ring, for these items, resizing charges will apply).*Some designs cannot be resized after they have been made, if the difference between sizes is too great, please get in touch with us before ordering if this could be an issue for you
