Parti Sapphire Rings

As a bench jeweler, I select stones for their distinct color zoning. A parti sapphire ring offers a unique distribution of yellow, blue, and green within a single crystal—an effect caused by specific trace elements during formation. I hand-set these sapphires to highlight their natural geometric partitions. This collection focuses on durability and structural integrity, using solid gold and platinum to secure stones for daily wear. You will not find two identical stones here; each band is built around the specific optical properties and internal geometry of the individual sapphire.

The Story Behind The Stones

Are multi-colored sapphires just poorly formed rejects that lapidaries couldn’t heat-treat into a uniform, marketable blue? Not by a long shot. They are highly sought-after geological anomalies, and treating them like a rinky dink renfaire trinket is a mindset as outdated as dial-up internet.
