The Lion King Inspired Engagement Ring

What do you do when your fiancé-to-be is obsessed with the lion king? 

Well, you make sure she's got her very own lions of course! Miles came to us with a particular challenge and we are proud to say we knocked it right out of the park. The result for this project was a pair of carved golden lions holding aloft a stunning blue sapphire in a low profile, easy to wear partial bezel setting.
We managed to walk the very fine line between being 'too on the nose' with the homage to the movie yet still subtly evoking that famous scene from the movie.

Needless to say, Mile's fiancee -to-be was absolutely over the moon.

The Wedding Ring
When the time came to finally tie the knot, the roar-some pair returned to have a matching fitted wedding ring made. We decided that it was only appropriate for a Lion Queen to have a crown, so we matched the ring with a wild style leafy 'crown' design which matched the engagement ring beautifully.

Khay's Final Thoughts
This project was a joy from start to finish and I was extremely pleased with the execution of the concept. To the casual observer the ring set looks like a wonderfully organic, totally unique bridal set, and it's only with close inspection that you start to see the lion-theme which is just perfect for jewelry that is meant to be worn everyday.
